Same. I like cars 100% stock, from the tires to the head unit. It drives my inner OCD nuts.

Same for me, I get all paranoid “what else have the previous owner fiddled with?” I hate aftermarket wheels.

I agree, most aftermarket wheels are hideous. I also dislike modifications (in most circumstances, unless very tasteful or useful) because I like things that are neat and clean, and to me, stock = neat and clean.

Meh. I’m a person that like a stock look but usually stock radios aren’t that great. Plus radios generally aren’t hard to swap in and out.
Now, single din units in cars with double din slots or radios with slide out screens? Ohhellno.

Most newer cars won’t take an aftermarket head unit anyway. My Impreza was a DIN head unit so when the factory crap stereo crapped out, I installed an Alpine stereo, it was an upgrade. Other than that the car was completely stock. I even replaced the OEM bridgstone tires with new bridgstone tires.

That’s not too bad, it’s these single DIN radios are hideous. Buttons so small you need tweezers.

Totally, 100% agree...problem is most pre-90s used Volvos in the area have them, so were I to get one I would have to source a stock radio from who knows where...

Looks wise I’m not sure it made much of a difference for me, since the BRZ’s radio looks basically like that anyway.

Same here, specially when the head unit is designed in a different decade from the rest of the car. I actually looked up the Pioneer units that came stock in 1995 Tipos so I could get rid of the early 2000’s unit my dad had put in there. I can’t listen to MP3s or plug in aux jacks, but at least there aren’t neon colors about the cockpit anymore

To me it’s about design, I want a 2din radio with no large screen and no blue/red lights, very hard to find something like that...

But sometimes is useful, single din radio on 2din slot gives you a nice space for your smartphone or something..

Im the same way, but the oem radio in my truck gets an insane amount of cell phone interference, so at some point Im gonna get an aftermarket unit. Now if Only I could find one that looks half decent
